Dementia is not the topic of choice for most. It’s like the dreaded mammogram that us women love to hate! We don’t want to schedule that appointment but know that it is an annual obligation that could be not so great if we put it off year after year.

This is how dementia can creep up on families. You may notice a few changes with your family member but may not have them checked out for whatever reason. A few short years and the unavoidable symptoms are so prominent they can’t be denied. Precious months are lost where planning could have helped ease you and them into a care plan.

My family and I have many experiences with my dad that I love to share. My sharing started as a way to cope with the dementia diagnosis given to my dad; as well as, provide an update to all the family and friends asking about his health and well-being. I started by vlogging a few times each month which eventually led to my book, Dad’s got dementia…Life after Diagnosis.

Check back often for current vlogs and blogs. I provide helpful tips for families going through the journey. Order my book for yourself and your family or friends. You are not alone! We are here for you!
